Srinagar, January 21 (KNO) : Aspirants who had applied for Class IV posts in north Kashmir Baramulla district on Monday alleged fraud in the recently published provisional selection list and asked Governor Satya Pal Malik to revoke the list immediately. Aspirants assembled in Srinagar’s Press enclave and protested against the government accusing them of playing a cruel joke with them. "After waiting for a decade, they issue a provisional selection list but full of fraud," protestors said. According to KNO correspondent, they accused district administration of using malpractices to create a 'fraudulent list' without caring for the issued merit for the posts. "There are allegations that Rs 3 lakh per persons have been paid to get ones name in the list. It’s a scandal involving crores on rupees," they said. While urging Governor to intervene in the matter so that they could have a sigh of relief, they have threatened to launch protests if the list is not immediately revoked. "If our demands are not met, we will take course of other means. And if any untoward things happen to any of us Government will be responsible for that," they said. (KNO)
